As the founder of Love Journey, Tantra of the Heart, Evalena Rose has spent 36 years leading transformative seminars on channeling, empathic skills and sacred relationships. Welcome, Evalena Rose.
Evalena Rose:I'm delighted to be here with you. I have been in private practice 46 years. I love my work. It began with metatherapy, which is really it's like therapy but beyond, and really helping people empower themselves to come fully into now, and I've learned a lot about trauma, some personally and through studies and I've developed ways of retrieving the part of us that's in trauma into current time so that we're not living in the trauma. And in part I've developed that with the Council of Twelve, which are the beings that I channel. They're a group of ascended masters. They're beings that have continued to evolve on the other side of the veil. Some have had lifetimes here but have become teachers and masters and work from a higher plane of existence, and so I feel they're working with our higher self, with our consciousness. So they're not just trying to give people answers, they're helping people evolve their own answers.
Rose:When you talk to people and you work with people, do they even know what they're experiencing, or is it just that they know something is occurring? Because sometimes a person may not understand what's happening or what the trauma is specifically, do you help them, guide them towards what the trauma is specifically? Do you help them guide them towards what that answer is?
Evalena Rose:yes, they'll. They might say I'm just feeling so blocked, or I'm usually more able to open my heart and I'm not able to in this situation. So they more will report their experience and then when we investigate it, suddenly the other person has become their mother, you know, or their perpetrator. And that leads us to. For me it's like what's the scene that's unresolved in their childhood, that scene that just never goes away. Because I think in trauma, when especially parents or any adults act so wrongly, the child, a part of the child, goes into shock. And the part that goes into shock it's like for that part the clock stops ticking and a little bit of the soul essence is caught in that memory.
Evalena Rose:And then there's another incident and part gets caught in shock and a little bit of the soul essence gets caught in that memory and this memory and this memory. And so I was working for many years with people helping clear memories and at one point I was channeling Aphrodite to this person I worked with for years. She said Aphrodite. It's not fair. We spend our whole childhood going through this awful abuse and then we spend our adulthood trying to get over it. There's got to be a better way.
Rose:And.
Evalena Rose:Aphrodrodite said we'll take it under advisement and within two weeks we were doing this form of soul retrieval. That's really easy to do. We would help the adult get very crowned and centered and they know the scene. And then we have them go with Divine Mother into the scene as she works the magic and love up the child and let them know that they can come live with them in their life. And they almost always say yes, and if they don't, a little encouragement. And then we ask divine mother to bring them and the adult all the way through space and time, all the way through space and time, into the heart. Chakra and the angels make the perfect child's room in the heart and that part now, that part of the soul essence is here where it can be nurtured, and the abuse is back there and the clock starts ticking again.
Rose:So what you described is a soul retrieval. Is it the same for everybody? Retrieval, is it the same for everybody? Um, does everyone, and does everyone get their soul? Retrieve their soul, or or some maybe meant for that to be part of their soul, to be still in that space and time, that that happened and and, almost like a new soul essence, become a part of them? Because maybe that was too painful to bring up?
Evalena Rose:For some people they're not ready and that's fine. There's a lot of work now with inner children, the ISF, family systems and acknowledgement that there are parts of us that aren't really in current time. You know they're caught up in the coping mechanisms. Maureen St Germain has this wonderful little piece about when the child is still young enough that they're in touch with the liminal realms realms of light, that they handle what comes up that makes no sense by creating little positive entities to handle it, and what I think happens then is that little positive entity evolves into a coping mechanism.
Evalena Rose:Yeah, so whenever such and such happens, this one fires, but it's just a little part of the whole personality and people go. I don't know why I acted like that.
Rose:What are some of the other more common struggles? And also you mentioned childhood trauma and maybe abuse or addiction. What are some other struggles that a woman or people have? Some common ones, other common ones?
Evalena Rose:Women commonly have struggles of marrying someone like their father or their narcissistic mother. You know, very often not always, but many early marriages people marry into a pattern that they haven't resolved and so they're feeling not seen and abused but they take it because they're used to it and so women or people getting into marriages of gaslighting or marriages of a lot of shame and blame. They see that and a lot with women about concern for their children and especially like mood disorder children. We've done channeling with a woman who has a son that she was afraid at one point he might become the next shooter and it kind of looked like he could and he wouldn't have been willing to work with us. But we had permission to work with him through the mother and cleared a lot of entities off him and helped him at least be able to be more functional.
Evalena Rose:Wow, so I've worked with several, quite a few children through the mothers. I worked with a pair of twins. I think we only needed one session. They had a past life and they were playing it out and you know they had really been fond of each other and loving and something happened and they were oppositional and we cleared the past life and they had a good relationship.
Rose:As you're telling that story, I was just thinking that it was probably a past life situation. Yeah, so let's talk about that past life. It's not just about the current life, but we can have issues that and some of the people that we're in in this life were perhaps in our past life. It's not just about the current life, but we can have issues that, and some of the people that we're in in this life were perhaps in our past life. So you help people with that. Is it through the channeling that you help people with that, that you're identifying that these patterns are occurring because of a past life?
Evalena Rose:I think through the channeling we tend to get there more quickly and sometimes it will come up in therapy and over the 46 years the channeling and the therapy have gotten.
Rose:They really inform each other.
Evalena Rose:So if it's coming up, we follow it there, right. But in the channeling, what I find with the council is they're always looking for what's behind that, what's the cause behind that. So there's this going on here, but where did it start? And sometimes people will come in and say I think we need to clear some ancestral stuff. I think there's a curse on my family when I trace all this stuff and they have all this experience of something like a curse and I always work with the council with something like that.
Rose:Yeah, that's where you need the support. But it's not always a curse, right?
Evalena Rose:It just could be this thing, or I mean not everything is a curse, no, it's rare if it's a curse okay, but there's what's more common is what I think of as a bleed through, that in another incarnation of the soul there's something that's really unresolved, yeah, and in this incarnation maybe some of the players are there from that unresolved piece and it starts getting worked out here, yeah, and so what the council does is it goes to how do we resolve this there? And then it won't play through because there's no time or space they can work with what happens after people pass over from here and getting their lessons and moving to the light and releasing chords between the players, between them and the current life person, between them and anyone the current life person's having troubles with. So they just clear up the, the connections. So now those, the ones from that incarnation, are moving into the light and the ones from this incarnation are free of that bleed through.
Rose:Wow, that's some powerful healing. It is, yeah, and no wonder you love it so much. I'm sure it's very rewarding and I'm sure you've helped many people, yeah.
Evalena Rose:I call it my front row seat on transformation.
Rose:Oh, I love that, I love this. So, as a woman who is 79 years young, right, what advice do you give women who are transitioning into the wisdom years of their life, or what are considered the crone years? Can we have this conversation on how women can embrace any transition in their life, right? Yes, a little bit more about that, because I know you've experienced this.
Evalena Rose:I'd love to. I've experienced more stages than made in matron crone. When I got to 48, I had some apprentices and they said let's have a crone ceremony for you. I said I'm a half century from crone. You gotta be crazy, no. And then I took a workshop on dangerous women women around 48, 52 in that where they're freed up from matron and they just might do anything.
Evalena Rose:And I realized there's a stage here we haven't named and I named it matriarch, or I pulled matriarch out of the you know the past to name that stage. And I think of the matriarch as a woman who's grown up, she's fulfilled her matron duties, family career, she's ready to bring herself to the middle of the world and see what do I really want to do, and it might be a whole new creation. I call it middle essence and it's very like adolescence because that's right around the menopausal shift and everything's changing inside and it's hormonal. When COVID hit, about 20 years later, I heard elders to the fore and I went there's another stage, there's elder, and I had never thought of myself as elder, but stepping into it it feels really good. It feels like I've got like quarter century of elder, around 100, I'll get around to crown.
Rose:I'm with you, sister. I love that, you know. I really like what you said about the middle essence and what people call, or what society calls, a midlife crisis. It's not a crisis, it's really just feeling that there's a shift, there's a change that is occurring, and embracing that change or creating a different quality around that change within your own life, and I just love that. I mean, I became a yoga teacher at the age of 55. And I tell everyone that I'm like I became a yoga teacher. It wasn't easy, a lot of work, but it was what I wanted to do. And so I everyone that I'm like I became a yoke because it wasn't easy, a lot of work, but it was what I wanted to do, and so I embraced that and I love that that happened during that time. So, yes, and people who are going through menopause women I should say women they complain about it. Yeah, I get it, the hot flashes. You know the changes in your body, but it's going to happen, no matter what.
Evalena Rose:Right.
Rose:So, instead of complaining about it, let's figure out a way to celebrate it, feel good about it and find ways to be healthier and, you know, just make positive changes or additions to your life, because life is not over when we are through menopause or crone years, or even at 100.
Evalena Rose:Yeah, I think menopause is hardly halfway. When I turned 75, my brother, three years older, said something about congratulations and he said the way it goes in our family. I figure we got another quarter and maybe some overtime. You know it starts getting good. It's like my life is finally something I really want to live After all the years of everything I had to go through to get here.
Rose:I love that. I love hearing that I encourage women not to use the word old Maybe you're older a little bit, but not old and to embrace just to start something new. And I know a lot of women who after menopause they are starting to think about what can I do differently? They start to shed layers of their old life. Maybe they have kids and they're empty nesters and they have time to pursue more hobbies, and I think that's an exciting time. Are women afraid of starting something different?
Evalena Rose:No, I think fear is a good sign that what you're thinking of starting is big enough to be worth investing your life in. Yeah, it's going to come with fear and it's going to come with some. I'll do this first. Oh well, maybe I'll. You know those kinds of false starts, because it takes a lot to get over that inertia that just wants to handle what's on the desk, what's in front of us. I was thinking, as you were speaking, that one of the shifts I feel in me is not slowing down in terms of in the world, but really slowing down my perfectionism.
Evalena Rose:yes, yes, yes, yes I look at all the emails and I go we'll never be caught up again. Is there anything important here for me? And I want to have the nerve to select all and delete all.
Rose:And I'm almost there because they'll come back, there'll be plenty. There's a way of yeah, and and I actually did that last week I I went through, spent hours, I went down I've been going through some rabbit holes lately and I spent and I deleted all these emails that were so useless and they were sitting there for years, like I don't need any of these, and I felt so good afterwards. It's like cleaning house yeah, nice purge, yeahge, yeah. And you know you're right about this perfectionism. I've been thinking a lot about that as well and I have a tendency to be try to be perfect and everything. And you know, if I'm doing a a from a speaker or a project, you know, but it's only perfect in my eyes and and I always then up just saying you know what you're going to do, okay, because you know the stuff and you'll be fine.
Evalena Rose:You work with a lot of empaths, so an empath is someone who picks up other people's emotions, their feelings, even their body sensations, often without noticing it, without realizing it. It's a beautiful skill to tune into people and get a sense of what's happening with them, but it also sometimes it's like you're flooded with other people's experiences, like I remember sitting down next to someone at an event and I had a headache all of a sudden and I looked at her and she looked kind of in pain. I said would you happen to have a headache? She said oh yeah, really I went.
Rose:Okay, there's that headache.
Evalena Rose:I think it's part of what helped me be a healer, because if I can help heal the headache in others, I don't take it on. But I've also really had to learn how to create a solid field around me, a sovereign field, so that I'm not merging with other people's emotions people's emotions.
Rose:Can you talk about that and how someone who's an empath first recognize that they're an empath? Because that's a hard one. You could be an empath and not realize it and you're just experiencing things that are unfamiliar to you or that are you're like wow, why am I like this? Or why do I have a headache like this? I never have a headache. How can one identify themselves as an empath? Or is everybody an empath to some extent?
Evalena Rose:I think it might be possible that everyone has the capacity. I'm not sure Some people are close off to it or not. It isn't a part of them. I actually think that most impacts, if not all, come from early abuse. It comes from being in a dysfunctional or a lot of anger or a lot of of violence or or or sexual abuse, and so the child develops the habit of watching and those little personal entities I spoke of, one of them, becomes watcher and they go and they, they check out what's going on with everybody in the environment so that they know if they need to get out of the way or shut up or you know, danger, danger. So, as an adult, I think that they're still doing that. They're going into other people's fields and they have to learn that they don't need to do that.
Rose:So you're saying energy field like that aura, that yeah, yeah, yes, that makes sense. I spoke to someone else recently who also said the same thing as you did, that people who are empathic. It probably comes from because, as a child, their antenna's up a little bit more than everybody else. Yeah, it's kind of like that. Yeah, makes a lot of sense. What advice do you have for people who are empaths on how to protect their energy, maybe before they walk into a room or some environment that they know may be?
Evalena Rose:challenging. I think part of it is what I call care and keeping of the energy system. So let's say you're out at the beach, your energy gets really wide, you're just the ocean and the sky, and then if you go into a crowded room, you need to bring it in. And then if you go into a crowded room, you need to bring it in. Yeah, if you're in a situation that could be troubling, you want to bring it in close. So I'll ask my guides to fill my four-inch layer with light, kind of a soft, soft iridescent light, so that I'm not taking people's energy in. I can still touch their pain, I can still have the information, but I don't have to be out there in their field.
Rose:You won't have to get that headache Right right. You said four-inch layer. Is that what you're? But your energy can be beyond that, but you're just saying that close section. Right, protect this area. That's really close to me and, yeah, like a shield as you create amethyst in that inner layer.
Evalena Rose:Yeah, close in. But it's really signaling inside I want to keep my energy here and I don't need to be taking on others.
Rose:So we're going to wrap it up. I do want to ask you a little question. If you could time travel and share an essential truth with your younger self about aging and purpose, or anything, what would it be?
Evalena Rose:It's really going to be okay and there'll always be love in your life. It may not be where you're expecting it, but it's always there. Watch for it. Watch people's hearts. That's where you'll find it.
Rose:That's beautiful and that's a message everyone can take. Yes, can you tell us about some of the offerings that you have and how people can find you, and I'll also put everything in the show notes, as everyone knows.
Evalena Rose:Great. My website is evelinarosecom and it's E-V-A-l-e-n-a rose dot com and I have a lot of videos on the website. I have a six part class on living as an empath, so the long answer to the question of skills is in that class, and I have a lot of videos on YouTube as well. I've just been putting my legacy out for people. Yeah, in Asheville I do a monthly satsang, which is a gathering of healers, and it's a beautiful afternoon of sitting together Sunday afternoon. I channel and the whole community participates in healing.
Rose:Well, thank you for being here today. It's been really lovely having you and sharing your wisdom and your knowledge and many years of helping others and healing others as well. So I encourage everyone out there and invite them and encourage them to check out Evalena Rose's website and her offerings and, if you get a chance, just check out the other episodes as well on Chat Off The Mat, and I hope to see you next time, thank you.
